Size Guide Shafts, heads & gloves

Pick the wrong length or the wrong pocket and even great gear fights you. Here’s how we size a stick end to end — and how to measure for gloves that don’t swim on your hands.

01 — Shaft length By position, NCAA / high-school legal

Defense / LSM60″ (long pole)52–72″

A word on flex

Flex is how much the handle loads and springs on a shot. Our alloy bars (the Metal 3) run stiff — no whip, dead accurate, and a tank on checks. Carbon handles (Carbon Pro 2.0, Dragonfly Pro) build in a touch of controlled flex that loads on the shot and snaps the release quicker.

  • Stiffer suits close defenders, face-off specialists, and anyone who wants the ball to go exactly where they point it.
  • More flex rewards attackers and middies with dialed mechanics — you feel the load and get free zip on time-and-room shots.
  • New to the game? Start stiffer. Whip is a bonus once your release is repeatable, not before.
02 — Head & mesh Pocket by playstyle
PlaystylePocket placementMesh
Attack / feederMid pocketSemi-soft mesh — hold for cradling, clean feeds
Midfield / two-wayMid pocketPerformance mesh — all-weather, quick release
Defense / LSMHigh pocketHard mesh — fast outlet, checks-resistant
Face-offLow-to-midHard mesh — clamp and rake friendly

Our strung heads ship with a mid pocket and performance mesh tuned to throw true out of the box — the do-everything setup. Playing a specialist role? Tell us in the order notes and we’ll string it high or low before it leaves the bench.

Legal check

Drop a ball in the strung head and push down: the top of the ball should sit no deeper than the bottom of the sidewall. That’s a pocket that clears a ref’s stick check. Ours ship legal — break them in without over-bagging and they stay that way.

03 — Glove sizing Measure once, order right

Measure from the base of your palm (the wrist crease) to the tip of your middle finger. Match that to the glove length below — a glove should cover the wrist bone with the cuff and let your fingers reach the tips without jamming.

Between two sizes? Attackers and middies who want mobility size down for a closer fit; defenders who take a lot of checks size up for more cuff coverage. Still unsure, reach the crew with your measurement and we’ll call it.
