FAQ Straight answers, no runaround
Do your heads really come ready to play?

Yes. Every head is strung, thrown, and tuned by hand at the Baltimore bench before it ships — mid pocket, performance mesh, legal depth. Pin it to a shaft and you’re throwing on the first rep. Want it strung high or low for a specialist role? Leave a note on the order.

Alloy or carbon — which shaft should I start with?

Alloy (our Metal 3) is the workhorse: stiff, cheaper, and it shrugs off cross-checks. Carbon (Carbon Pro 2.0, Dragonfly Pro) is lighter with a bit of flex for a quicker release, at a higher price. New players and defenders usually want alloy; attackers and middies chasing every ounce lean carbon. Our size guide breaks down flex if you want the long version.

How do I know what glove size to order?

Measure from your wrist crease to the tip of your middle finger and match it to the chart on our size guide. Between sizes, attackers size down for mobility and defenders size up for cuff coverage. The cuff should cover your wrist bone with your fingers reaching the tips.

Is my shaft legal for high school and NCAA play?

Our shafts ship in standard legal lengths — 30″ for attack/midfield, 60″ for defense, 40″ for goalie — and the strung heads ship at legal pocket depth. As long as you don’t over-bag the pocket during break-in, you’ll clear a ref’s stick check.

When should I take the electrolyte mix versus the protein?

FieldFuel electrolyte is a during-and-after-play drink — one scoop a bottle to keep your legs under you through the fourth quarter and two-a-days. CrossCheck protein is recovery: slam it inside an hour of the final whistle to cut down next-day soreness. On a doubleheader Saturday, plenty of players run both.

What’s the return and warranty deal?

Thirty days for a full refund on unstrung gear, exchanges ship free one way, and our shafts are backed against dents and bends under normal play. Full details — including how strung heads and supplements are handled — live on the returns page.

How fast does an order ship, and when’s it free?

Stock gear goes out in one to two business days; hand-strung heads take an extra day on the bench. Orders over $75 ship free in the contiguous U.S. See the shipping page for rates and tracking.

How do I get one of the ebooks after I buy it?

The Cradle Code and Ride & Clear are digital — you’ll get a download link by email right after checkout, no shipping involved. They’re final sale but covered by our money-back guarantee, so if a guide didn’t help, email us within 30 days.
